Saskatoon Indian & Metis Friendship Centre is hosting their annual National Aboriginal Day celebrations in Victoria Park in Saskatoon SK on June 21, 2017. This year's theme is Reconciliation. This year there will be a Rock your Roots Reconciliation Walk incorporated to honour the Residential School Survivors and their families. Everyone is welcome to join the walk and the festivities!
Wildernook is excited to join SaskOutdoors in the children's area to offer fun children's activities. Stop by to participate or just say hi!
Here is the schedule of events for the day:
7:30 a.m.- Pipe ceremony and blessing of the land
9:30- Marshalling for the walk
10 a.m.- Rock Your Roots Reconciliation Walk begins
11:30- Grand Entry
12 p.m.- Dignitaire Speeches
12:30- Lunch (Bbq and snacks for the public and soup and bannock for the Elder's and Residential School Survivors)
12:30- 4 p.m.- Entertainment
4 p.m.- Wrap up
