Nature Tot Tuesdays - Fall Extension

Fresh Air Experiences for you and your tot!

10:00 a.m. - 10:50 a.m on Tuesday mornings

Gabriel Dumont Park

Waving fingers through reeds, gathering and tucking cones into secret spots— Nature Tots provides a joyful opportunity for caregivers to explore and nurture their sense of wonder together.

The Nature Tots program engages both adult and child in a variety of seasonal sensory experiences in Saskatoon’s Naturalized Parks (e.g. Meewasin Park, Sanatorium Grounds and Gabriel Dumont Park ). Caregivers (grandparents, aunties & uncles and other caregivers welcome!), will develop their nature mentorship skills through the process.

Nature Tots includes playing with natural materials, using tools (e.g. sticks and buckets) to explore, walking to visit different nooks within the park, playing simple nature games and singing songs.

Locations: Based on feedback we are going to keep life simple for this one and stick to Gabriel Dumont Park.

Dates: Tues. Nov. 2 - Nov. 23 2021 (4 Sessions) Please Keep Nov. 30 free as a backup day.

Timing: We will meet at the designated meeting spot at 10:00 a.m. and plan to depart at 10:05 a.m. Each program is about 50 minutes in length.

Cost: $80/pair for 4 sessions

Cancellation Policy: A refund, minus a 10% administration fee, can be issued up until 1 week before the event. After that time no refund will be issued. If we are required to cancel Nature Tots due to Covid-19 restrictions, a full refund will be provided.

Covid- 19 Response: We are following Saskatoon Public Schools and Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools Covid-19 safety protocols. At this time wearing masks outdoors during our programs is a family decision, which we support. Heightened hand hygiene, and stay-at-home if sick requirements are in place.

I sincerely believe that for the child, and for the parent seeking to guide him, it is not half so important to know as to feel when introducing a young child to the natural world. If facts are the seeds that later produce knowledge and wisdom, then the emotions and the impressions of the senses are the fertile soil in which the seeds must grow. The years of early childhood are the time to prepare the soil.
